A contamination control mat is a mat with an adhesive surface that is placed at the entrances and exits of cleanrooms and workplaces to remove contaminants from the bottom of footwear and wheeled carts.

There are 30 sheets per mat. When a sheet is soiled, it is a quick and easy process to remove the top layer and reveal the fresh sheet underneath.

As well as removing foot-borne contamination, tacky mats provide a visible demarcation and reminder for all personnel to observe contamination and cross-contamination protocols.

What makes EnviroTack™ different?

EnviroTack™ Adhesive Mats contains an anti-microbial additive that can remove up to 99.8% of foot-borne viable microbes.

The sticky mats are produced using a renewable plant-based material that reduces CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process. Add this to the fact that used sheets can be recycled in conventional plastic recycling streams, and EnviroTack™ sticky mats become very appealable to organisations working towards ISO 14000.

How do you use an adhesive mat?

  1. Place the mat so the longer dimension is in line with the flow of traffic, then take 4 steps on the mat.
  2. For areas with higher traffic, increase the size of the mat or use more than one mat.
  3. Change the layers when they are about 75-80% saturated.
  4. Clean the floor every time a mat is changed.

Mats can be placed directly onto the floor, but mat frames should be used in areas with uneven surfaces and areas where the adhesion may affect the floor surface.
